What is twur.li?!?
twur.li was born out of the frustration of jcfischer who sees so many great links pass by on Twitter. Most of them just vanish in the stream, gone forever.
The idea to twur.li was gestating for quite some time. Then, on March 1st, 2009, we decided to do something about it - and to implement twur.li in a sprint. sz_andrea , kbingman and jcfischer took a day of, and worked together to build the first iteration of twur.li - in about 8 hours. On the side, it was a great excerise in Behaviour Driven Design and Ruby on Rails Development.
How does it work?
Follow twurli on twitter to get your URLs included in twur.li. We will read your tweets every couple of minutes and extract those, that contain URLs. We follow those, and store them.
